The Global Fighters’ Union (GFU) today confirmed its inaugural event, a night of professional boxing taking place in the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, part of ACC Liverpool’s waterfront event campus, on December 6th.
December 6th marks the first of what the GFU is calling a “truly innovative collaboration” with the ACC Liverpool Group, part of the fledgling Union’s commitment to supporting the development of local fighters, coaches and managers by bringing top quality events to the city’s best venue earlier in their careers than would otherwise be possible.
A spokesperson for the GFU said :
“After 2 years of hard work developing the GFU team in readiness for the launch of the union, December 6th marks another exciting milestone and we are very grateful to the team at Exhibition Centre Liverpool for making it possible. We would like all fight fans to show their support for the GFU as it starts its journey towards improving standards and opportunities across the board in combat sports. By registering as a founder member, whether you are a novice, amateur, pro or elite champion, you will be part of a movement driven by the fighters, for the fighters”.
